In 1988, Tony Ilacqua made this a reality when he founded Applied Mechanical Technologies, Inc. (AMT) in Rochester, New York. Tony was tired of larger, bureaucratic companies that tied projects up in red tape and didn't give people opportunities to grow. He saw an opportunity for a smaller company that could be more responsive - and much faster - than the competition. His goal for AMT was (and still is) to foster creativity - with a company culture that promotes teamwork, innovative thinking, and above all, exceptional customer service. Today, our mechanical engineering consulting firm is located in Victor (just outside Rochester) - and we have a portfolio of projects that includes numerous Fortune 500 clients.
